Engineering expertise

Our engineering expertise

Integration runs through everything we do. Beneath it are four specialist fields, and each can involve control, monitoring, instrumentation, communication, sourcing and practical implementation, depending on what the application needs.

The overarching capability

Technology Integration & Custom Engineering

Real requirements rarely sit inside one field. A safety system needs a coordinated response. A treatment plant needs analysis, dosing and monitoring that work together. Integration is what turns separate technologies, often from different sources, into one working operational system.

Outcome: existing and new systems connected into one operational view.

  • Retrofit & upgrades
  • Custom interfaces

  • Suppression method
  • Water supply & pumping
  • Monitoring
  1. Detection
  2. Fire panel
  3. Suppression / pumping
  4. Monitoring

Fire protection monitored

Solution thinking: assess the fire-protection requirement, then integrate detection, suppression, pumping and monitoring around the application.

  • Sensor placement
  • Alarm levels
  • Ventilation & response
  • Links to site systems
  1. Detection
  2. Control response
  3. Alarms / ventilation
  4. Safe operation

Hazard detected, response activated

Solution thinking: design the complete detection-and-response chain, not just the detector.

Discuss a requirement
04

Industrial Automation & Control

Processes that need control, visibility, or an upgrade to what is already installed.

Typical considerations

  • Process & control strategy
  • Instrumentation
  • Communication
  • PLC / HMI where relevant
  • Retrofit constraints
  1. Instrumentation
  2. Control architecture
  3. Monitoring
  4. Operational improvement

Engineering thinking, in practice

Every project starts from the application. Below is one real example from one of our fields; the same approach applies to water treatment, fire protection, retrofit and multi-system work.

Industrial Chlorine Gas Safety System

01Situation
The facility required continuous monitoring and automatic response to hazardous chlorine conditions.
02Requirement
Detect chlorine continuously and trigger the right safety response automatically, without depending on manual intervention.
03Engineering approach
Gas sensing, control logic, alarms, ventilation and safety actions were integrated into a coordinated control system.
04Solution
Sensing, control, alarms and ventilation linked through industrial communication and PLC integration, with monitoring of the system state.
05Result
One coordinated system in place of separate devices: chlorine conditions are monitored continuously and the safety response is automatic.
